plasti-dip metalizer on wheels/rack?
Hey guys, anyone take any experience with plasti-dip?? (too non sure which forum to use... sorry) Here'south the stuff i'm looking at in particular for my wheels and cargo rack:

Now, my concerns here are that when i demand to take off a tube the levers will chip away at the plasti-dip, same concerns with my baggage rack.... only if it's tough enough it should be fine.
note: it should just peel off, which means i won't ruin a part merely it'due south also office of my hesitancy. so i don't have much to lose only some elbow grease and $20 or then worth of plasti dip... but if information technology's leap to exist a disaster i'd rather not have my bike offline for the week of work and drying or whatsoever. Whatever thoughts??

Plast-dip inevitably peels and looks like crap. A tire lever or heavily used rack will surely peel.
The luggage rack is meliorate off powder coated.
I don't know almost the wheels. Change the bar tape to black and live with it?

Ask around in the automotive community on how readily it peels. They volition know amend. Lots of guys coat faux-chrome trim and grilles and such. They tin can tell you amend how it peels.
The expert thing most dip is that it can be removed if you don't similar information technology but I think getting it out of the nooks and crannies of a hub and spokes would be a PITA. And what happens when yous need the wheels trued?
